Chemical resistance is the ability of a material to withstand chemical attack. A material with high chemical resistance has less chance of corrosion. Materials with high chemical resistance are generally regarded as corrosion-resistant materials due to their inertness to chemical attack.

A material with low chemical resistance generally results in swelling or softening of the material, hence the material loses serviceability. When testing a material for chemical resistance, important factors include: temperature; concentration of chemicals; and exposure duration.

You do not want your brush to lose its serviceability when working on a sensitive project. A chemical resistant brush would be your best choice when using corrosive solvents.

One can choice between three ESD categories, seven fill materials, six handle materials, and a wide variety of sizes, bristle diameters, handle lengths, handle diameters, brush diameters, trim lengths, brush face diameters, brush face widths, and maximum temperature value.

With all of these choices, it's no wonder that Gordon Brush® is the leader in stock brush choices. Moreover, if you can't find what your looking for, we can customize a chemical resistant brush for you. Call us at 323-724-7777 or send us an email at sales@gordonbrush.com.
